We a group of insignificant quadriplegics living in a remote part of Mpumalanga were battling to connect to the internet and make calls due to poor cellphone signal in the area.
Christo Breytenbach of Vodacom, Mpumalanga, heard our cries for help via one of our facebook friends. Christo rushed to our assistance and together with his team worked around the clock to upgrade the local cellphone tower to 3G. Christo then made multiple trips out to the farm to make sure that we were connected. Signal was still not 100% and an additional site visit and installation of a Vodafone Repeater was neccesary. Christo jumped into action and together with Henry Hardneck made sure this was done and dusted before the new year. The technical knowledge and equipment provided on 29 December 2010 guaranteed that our signal was 100% and that we now had convenient, fast access to the web.
From my heart I can truly say as do all the quads of Ama Wheelies - Thank you to everyone at Vodacom who helped get us connected! Congratulations Vodacom for appointing such efficient staff. Thank you also for the Vodafone 3G Repeater which was donated to keep us connected. Your help will help our new home grow!
