Selected by judge Gigi Lewis, who says: "This picture gets my imagination going and tells a bit of a story. It is well composed with the footprints leading in to the scene and away to that lonely person, adding perspective. I suspect colour was enhanced in Photoshop? I would have liked the photo to have a little less saturation in the sea area, if that was the case. But the light coming from the side throws interesting effects on the sand and adds a feel of wind-swept desolation."
